Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students with unique and diverse needs in a dynamic, supportive school setting near Oakdale, CA. This full-time contract role presents a rewarding opportunity to step in and provide vital instruction alongside a multidisciplinary team. As the current position is being covered by substitute teachers, the school is seeking someone to fill this role as soon as possible—with the potential for a flexible, short-term arrangement if needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential (R3EN or Mod/Severe)
  • Experience serving students with moderate to severe disabilities, including autism, intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, OHI, orthopedic impairment, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, and deafblindness
  • Skill in creating and adapting curriculum for individualized instruction
  • Ability to effectively implement and monitor IEP goals
  • Strong collaboration skills with families, educators, aides, therapists, nurses, and administrators
  • Commitment to supporting students with significant medical, behavioral, sensory, or communication needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning profiles
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students’ academic and functional targets
  • Teach adaptive and daily living skills to foster student independence
  • Provide support in academic, behavioral, communication, and functional areas
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and meet compliance standards
  • Collaborate consistently with team members and demonstrate a problem-solving approach
  • Participate in IEP meetings and support data-based decision-making
  • Work onsite with dedication and flexibility
