Level 1 Heavy Equipment Technician

PDQ Equipment is looking for a Level 1 Technician to join our Service team. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, automotive/diesel training, or early hands-on experience who wants to learn, grow, and build a career working on construction and rental equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, oil changes, fluid services, and basic repairs
• Assist experienced technicians with equipment repairs and component replacement
• Gain hands-on experience with diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, damage, and maintenance needs
• Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
• Complete work orders and service documentation
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in equipment repair
• 0–1+ years of hands-on mechanical experience preferred
• Automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or vocational training is a plus
• Dependable, safety-minded, and ready to learn

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with the right foundation, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
