Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language therapy services to elementary and middle school students. This contract position runs from November 2 to February 29, with a consistent weekly schedule of 36.25 hours. You'll serve students across two sites, working with a diverse TK-8 population of 44 students. Utilize your expertise to make meaningful progress with children who benefit from your skills in communication development and language support.
Key qualifications and experiences:
- Active California SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience within school environments, ideally serving elementary and/or middle school students
- Strong assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, to collaborate with staff and families
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver direct speech-language therapy for students from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Maintain appropriate documentation and progress reporting
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Serve children at both an elementary and a middle school site, managing a balanced caseload
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as appropriate
