Operations Specialist
Location: Torrance, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $23.00-$26.00/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to support manufacturing investigations, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement projects in a regulated production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to expand their experience in operations, quality systems, process improvement, and manufacturing compliance.
The ideal candidate will assist in identifying and investigating operational issues, analyzing root causes, implementing corrective actions, updating documentation, and supporting process improvement initiatives across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate manufacturing deviations, quality events, customer complaints, and process issues
- Perform root cause analysis and assist with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity
- Review data, records, and documentation to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Assist with updating SOPs, work instructions, and other controlled documentation
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and leadership teams
- Track project progress and key performance metrics
- Support compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare reports, summaries, and investigation documentation
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, operations, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or process improvement
- Understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies
- Exposure to CAPA, deviation investigations, or quality systems is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
