Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Legal Secretary to join a growing insurance defense practice on a Contract basis. This position supports attorneys handling matters such as wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, and automotive-related litigation, with a work arrangement that is primarily on site and allows limited remote flexibility. The ideal candidate is organized, thorough, and confident managing legal documentation, court filings, and trial preparation in a fast-paced services environment.

Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support for two attorneys managing insurance defense matters.
• Prepare, revise, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and expert-related documents for submission and case use.
• Handle electronic filing of legal documents in state and/or federal courts while ensuring accuracy and compliance with filing requirements.
• Maintain case calendars and track important deadlines using legal calendaring tools, coordinating closely with the broader support team.
• Assemble trial materials such as binders, tables of authorities, tables of contents, and other court-ready documentation.
• Edit and format legal documents using tools such as Adobe Acrobat and document management systems like NetDocs.
• Organize case files and supporting records to help attorneys stay prepared for hearings, motion practice, and trial activity.• At least 1 year of experience in a Legal Secretary or similar litigation support role.
• Hands-on experience with court filings, including e-filing in state and/or federal court.
• Ability to perform final formatting and editing of pleadings and other legal documents with strong attention to detail.
• Experience supporting trial preparation, including compiling exhibits and preparing organized case materials.
• Proficiency with calendar management and deadline tracking in a legal environment.
• Working knowledge of legal technology such as Adobe Acrobat and document management platforms like NetDocs.
• Strong written communication skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, detail-focused approach to work.
