A prestigious AmLaw firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its Downtown Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished legal professional looking to join a sophisticated, high-end firm with an exceptional benefits package and a 37.5-hour workweek.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience and strong knowledge of both California state and federal court procedures. Experience supporting labor & employment litigators is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys handling sophisticated labor & employment litigation matters
- Prepare, revise, format and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Handle state and federal court filings, including e-filing
- Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines and court dates
- Assist with discovery, pleadings, motions and trial preparation
- Coordinate meetings, depositions and other case-related activities
- Manage documents and maintain organized electronic case files
- Provide high-level administrative support in a fast-paced professional environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience
- Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules and procedures
- Labor & employment litigation experience strongly preferred
- Excellent document formatting, proofreading and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Professional communication skills and ability to work with attorneys at all levels

• At least 5 years of experience in a legal secretary, practice assistant, or similar support role, with consideration for strong candidates who bring 3 or more years in employment law.
• Prior background supporting labor and employment attorneys in a law firm or comparable legal environment.
• Hands-on experience handling filings in both federal and state courts.
• Working knowledge of discovery processes, including document production and Bates stamping.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars, priorities, and multiple deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency with e-filing platforms and legal document preparation.
• Consistent employment history that reflects reliability and attention to detail.
