Job DescriptionWe are looking for a bilingual Direct Support Specialist and Office Assistant to join our team in California. This contract opportunity combines client-centered field support with administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and comfortable working independently. In this role, you will help individuals work toward personal goals while also supporting day-to-day office operations with care.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver one-on-one support based on each client’s service objectives, helping them make progress in daily living, employment, parenting, and community participation.
• Guide clients in building practical skills such as money management, communication, household routines, and workplace readiness.
• Provide safe transportation to appointments, programs, and community activities using a personal vehicle while maintaining a dependable schedule.
• Record services, client updates, and progress notes accurately and submit required documentation within established timelines.
• Coordinate effectively with family members, employers, and care teams to support consistent service delivery and positive outcomes.
• Uphold client dignity, safety, and individual rights while responding thoughtfully to changing needs and circumstances.
• Assist with office support tasks such as answering incoming calls, handling administrative paperwork, data entry, and general receptionist coverage.
• Use mobile tools and Microsoft Office applications to manage records, communication, and routine administrative duties.
• Participate in trainings, team meetings, and supervisory check-ins while following organizational and program guidelines.
• Take on additional support or administrative assignments as needed to meet client and office needs.• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college coursework or a degree in a related area is preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance are required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Ability to work independently, manage time well, and adapt to varying client schedules.
• Strong written documentation, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills are essential.
• Comfort with mobile technology, Microsoft Office, administrative support, and data entry tasks is required.
