\n • Weekly Gross Pay: $3,120/week($86.6 per hour)
\n • Taxable Pay: 720/week ($20/hour)
\n • Weekly Housing & Meal Stipend: $2,400/week
\n Job Description:
\n Seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) to provide high-quality care to antepartum, laboring, and high-risk obstetric patients.
\n The unit includes 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms. The RN will provide comprehensive maternal-fetal care and may float to Postpartum when needed.
\n Responsibilities:
\n • Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and high-risk pregnancy patients.
\n • Perform continuous fetal heart rate monitoring and fetal assessment.
\n • Monitor patients with high-risk pregnancies and recognize changes in maternal/fetal condition.
\n • Provide care during vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
\n • Assist with maternal stabilization and emergency interventions as needed.
\n • Provide triage assessment and prioritize patients based on clinical condition.
\n • Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and multidisciplinary teams.
\n • Provide patient and family education throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
\n • Float to Postpartum when staffing needs require.
\n • Provide postpartum couplet care for both mother and newborn when needed.
\n • Participate in newborn care during delivery when qualified.
\n • Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
\n • Maintain compliance with patient safety, infection control, and hospital standards.
\n Requirements
\n • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience – REQUIRED
\n • Previous travel nursing experience – REQUIRED
\n • First-time travelers not accepted
\n • Active California RN license required
\n • Pending license not accepted
\n • Every other weekend required
\n • Must be comfortable floating to Postpartum as needed
\n • Must be willing to care for antepartum, labor/high-risk, and triage patients
\n • Strong fetal monitoring and high-risk pregnancy experience required
\n Required Certifications
\n One of the following fetal monitoring certifications is required:
\n • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, OR
\n • NCC EFM
\n Additional required certifications:
\n • ACLS – AHA
\n • BLS/BCLS – AHA
\n • NRP
\n • FHM

\n Local radius is 50 miles; local candidates may be considered at a different rate
\n Ideal Candidate
\n The ideal candidate is an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with at least 2 years of recent L&D experience, strong fetal monitoring and high-risk pregnancy skills, and current AHA ACLS/BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM certification. Previous travel nursing experience is required.
