Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to provide part-time support for a short-term Contract assignment in Rancho Dominguez, California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work in a highly manual setting and can step in quickly to keep invoice and payment activities moving efficiently. The selected candidate will assist with day-to-day payable tasks, recordkeeping, and administrative support during an approximately six-week coverage period.

Responsibilities:
• Enter vendor invoice information accurately into the accounting system and verify details before submission.
• Assist with accounts payable activities, helping ensure payments are prepared and processed on schedule.
• Review purchase-related documents and complete three-way matching to confirm invoice accuracy.
• Manage a weekly invoice workload and maintain steady progress on processing tasks.
• Organize, file, and preserve paper documentation for paid and pending invoices in an orderly manner.
• Provide general accounting and administrative assistance to support daily department operations.
• Help prepare payment documentation in alignment with the team's Monday through Thursday processing needs.
• Learn internal procedures quickly and apply them consistently while supporting the existing workflow.• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or high-volume data entry.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and document review in an accounting environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a paper-based, detail-driven setting.
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy when handling financial records.
• Comfort using accounting software such as QuickBooks and standard data entry tools.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting processes is beneficial.
• Able to adapt quickly, follow established procedures, and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
