Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shift Lead (Bakery & Cafe), part-time to full-time to manage the operations of our retail bakery location in Folsom. You will hire, train, and lead staff on the day-to-day activities for successful staffing and operations. The ideal candidate is a multi-tasking individual, with experience running a multi-skilled team for a successful restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will be able to perform all the essential duties of other employees (baking, food prep, line cook, cashier, barista, etc.) and fill in as needed
- Track time and manage schedules for employees
- Hire, train, and manage employees
- Track inventory, make purchases for supplies from various vendors
- Interface with customers and vendors professionally
- Able to use POS, registers, computer systems & software effectively
- Handle open/closing operations for the store
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous restaurant supervisory/management/lead experience
- Versatile and willingness to learn all aspect of the operations of the store
- Ability to remain calm, multi-task and thrive under pressure
- Excellent people and listening skills
- Strong communicator to resolve customer conflicts/issues
- Food Handler Manager certification required (Or able to complete within 30 days - a must)
