Job Description

Enrolled Agent and Department Head

Stand Strong Tax Resolution Corporation

$93,500 guaranteed | $102,000 qualified | Small team leadership | Remote after three months

Location: LOS ANGELES

Position: Full-Time

Monday–Friday schedule

Approximately 40 hours per week

A new business with long term backing

Join a new tax resolution business with strong investment support for a minimum of three years, a new marketing strategy and support from tax attorneys. Help shape a practice built around sound technical judgment, honest client advice, efficient systems and manageable workloads.

Lead a small team that supports your work

Although the title is Department Head, this starts as a hands-on senior EA role with limited staff-management responsibilities. During the first two years, we expect you to have no more than three direct reports. As we grow, these staff members will support you through clear processes that make your work easier and more streamlined.

You will help select and train your support staff, shape workflows and choose technology. The immediate priority is excellent casework and practical systems for a small team. Staffing and responsibilities will grow with the business, with compensation reviewed as your role expands.

Your responsibilities

· Represent individual and business clients before the IRS, analyze transcripts and financial information, and develop appropriate resolution strategies.

· Handle Offers in Compromise, Installment Agreements, Currently Not Collectible cases, penalty abatement and collection matters.

· Explain options honestly, communicate with empathy and maintain professional boundaries while moving cases forward.

· Establish practical case-management, quality-control and client-communication procedures; train and guide your small support team.

· Help select software and improve processes so your time is focused on work requiring your expertise.

Experience and qualifications

Active Enrolled Agent credential required.

CAF number and PTIN required.

Five or more years of hands-on tax resolution experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to independently handle complex IRS matters is essential. We welcome strong practitioners with mentoring or process-improvement experience who are ready to lead a small team.

Demonstrated technical judgment, case analysis and resolution strategy — not simply résumé tenure — will determine qualification.

A practical case-based discussion will form part of the interview. We will also discuss your preferred tax software and how you would organize an effective workflow.

Work arrangement and workload

The role begins with a mix of office and remote work in Los Angeles for the first three months. We will agree on the initial weekly office schedule before you start.

After three months, fully remote work is available at the candidate’s option.

We plan for approximately 40 hours per week, with workload and support reviewed as case volume grows. You will help establish a manageable caseload and repeatable processes that protect case quality and reduce unnecessary administrative work.

Compensation and paid holidays

Starting annual compensation is $93,500 guaranteed: an $85,000 base salary plus a guaranteed 10% annual bonus of $8,500. Bonus payment timing and terms will be set out in the written offer.

We offer two months of severance.

Five federal holidays observed by the company will be paid days off.

How to apply

Submit your résumé and a brief summary of your hands-on tax resolution experience. Include the tax software platforms you have used. Detailed software comparisons can wait until the interview.
