Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Production Operator / Water Treatment Operator to join our team in Santa Barbara, CA. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining water treatment and process systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in water treatment, oil & gas, production operations, or industrial facilities and possess strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water treatment and process systems.
- Perform routine site walkarounds and equipment inspections.
- Open, close, and adjust valves to maintain proper system flow and performance.
- Monitor pressures and understand pressure relief and release procedures.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, diagrams, and operating procedures.
- Track and document operational data, readings, and system performance.
- Identify operational issues and communicate concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with system startups, shutdowns, and normal operating activities.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Experience in water treatment, oil & gas production, plant operations, or industrial operations.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
- Knowledge of pressure systems, valves, pumps, and process equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- H2S certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience as a Production Operator, Lease Operator, Water Treatment Operator, Plant Operator, or Oilfield Operator.
- Experience working with pumps, tanks, filtration systems, and process equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial operating procedures and process controls.

Work Environment
This position is based in a field and industrial setting throughout the Santa Barbara area. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
