Job Summary
The individual will be responsible for daily warehouse and logistics activities, including receiving and verifying inbound deliveries, labeling and storing materials, processing customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and performing transactions within the Warehouse Management System. The role will also provide support for return-to-vendor (RMA) items and requires forklift experience. Previous experience handling chemicals or compressed gases is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety requirements, procedures, and site policies.
- Receive, verify, label, and distribute inbound materials and components.
- Pick and stage materials according to First Expired, First Out (FEFO) requirements.
- Put away inbound orders and deliveries in designated storage areas.
- Process and manage Return-to-Vendor (RMA) items.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within Oracle Inventory.
- Communicate and coordinate inventory or operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new business tools and processes.
- Communicate inventory issues using established reporting tools.
- Follow proper spill response and emergency cleanup procedures.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of all materials.
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts.
- Interface directly with internal and external customers.
- Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
- Provide backup support to the Distribution Department as needed.
- Perform dip-tube exchanges in a clean environment.
- Participate in and maintain the site's 5S program.
- Perform additional warehouse and logistics tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of experience in the chemical or compressed gases industry.
- Current forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
- Ability to use system reports to monitor and manage inventory.
- Familiarity with Oracle Applications and FabNet.
- Ability to participate as an Emergency Response Team member.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain Forklift, RCRA, DOT, and Hazmat certifications without restrictions.
- Chemical handling experience or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience working with hazardous materials, compressed gases, or related warehouse operations.
