Job Description

Precision Tube Bending, an established aerospace manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced FARO Arm Inspector / Quality Control Inspector with Verisurf experience to join our Quality Department.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience operating FARO portable coordinate measuring arms using Verisurf measurement and inspection software, performing dimensional inspections, and verifying precision aerospace components against engineering drawings and specifications.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who understands the importance of accuracy, traceability, and quality in aerospace manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform dimensional inspections using FARO portable measuring arms and Verisurf software.
Set up and operate FARO Arm equipment in accordance with established inspection procedures.
Create, modify, and execute dimensional inspection routines using Verisurf.
Inspect aerospace components, tubing assemblies, fabricated parts, tooling, and fixtures.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.
Generate dimensional inspection reports and document results using Verisurf.
Compare measured results against engineering specifications and customer requirements.
Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials or components.
Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality personnel to resolve dimensional discrepancies.
Follow established aerospace quality procedures and inspection requirements.

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience operating FARO Arm measurement equipment.
Proficiency with Verisurf inspection and measurement software.
Experience performing dimensional inspections in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to create and execute dimensional inspection routines.
Experience using precision measurement equipment.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and determine dimensional conformance.
Strong computer skills and experience preparing inspection reports.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
Ability to work independently and manage inspection priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Verisurf CAD-based inspection and reporting.
Familiarity with AS9100 aerospace quality management systems.
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
Experience inspecting complex tube assemblies, formed tubing, welded components, and precision tooling.
Knowledge of CMM inspection methods and coordinate measurement systems.
Experience working with tight-tolerance aerospace components.
