Schedule: 3 days/week | Monday–Friday | No weekends 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30
Pay rate-$40/hr. On w2
Duration- 6 months + months (High possibility of conversion to a permanent CVS employee)

Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the MinuteClinic clinical team in San Diego, CA. The LVN/LPN will provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care, administer medications and treatments, perform clinical assessments, and support positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor overall health and well-being.
- Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
- Evaluate patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
- Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
- Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions.
- Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, surgeries, and other relevant information in the EMR.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, self-care, and disease management.
- Conduct appropriate mental health screenings and assessments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted LVN/LPN license.
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience.
- Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
- Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); Epic experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Important: Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to long-term care, nursing homes, home health, LTAC, or skilled nursing facilities should not be submitted.
- Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule as required by clinic operations.
