Position Title: Church Nursery Attendant
Reports To: Director of Children’s Ministry

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Hours: Sundays, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (3.5 hours per shift)
Schedule: Flexible / On-Call Signup (Work 1 to 4 Sundays per month based on your availability)

Position Overview
Are you looking for a flexible, rewarding weekend role working with little ones? We are seeking warm, dependable Nursery Attendants to join our Sunday morning care team. In this role, you will create a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment for children ages 0 to 4 while their families attend church services. Whether you’re available every Sunday or just once or twice a month, we welcome you to join our nursery roster!


Specific Duties and Responsibilities
· Engage & Play: Cheerful interaction with toddlers and infants through creative play, stories, simple crafts, and faith-based music and books.
· Provide Quality Care: Attend to routine needs including comfort, feeding/snacks, bathroom assistance, and naptime routines as appropriate.
· Maintain Safety: Ensure a clean, secure environment by maintaining nursery standards and using our child check-in/checkout process to ensure children leave only with authorized adults.
· Parent Communication: Promptly notify parents via our standard communication system if special assistance or care is needed.
· Room Care: Help keep toys, cribs, and play areas sanitized and orderly at the end of the shift.

Schedule and Flexibility:
· Sunday Shift: Standard shift is 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM.
· Flexible Signup: Shifts are scheduled via monthly signup. Work as often as your schedule permits!
· Special Events (Optional): Occasional opportunities for additional hours during holiday services (Easter, Christmas Eve) or other church events, based on your interest and availability.


Qualifications:
· Experience caring for infants and young children (ages 0–4).
· A warm, patient, and welcoming presence for children and parents alike.
· Ability to pass a background check and standard drug screening.
· CPR/First Aid certification for infants and children (or willingness to complete training provided/supported by the church).
· Compliance with our Safe Church policy standards.
