CNC Machinist - 5-Axis - 1st or 2nd shift
Location: Garden Grove, CA
Pay: $30–$35/hr (Mid-Level) or $35-40/hr (More advanced), based on experience
1st shift: 6am-3pm + 10 hours of overtime per week
2nd shift: 3PM-11pm + 10 hours of overtime per week
About the Role
A well-established precision aerospace manufacturer is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join their growing 5-axis machining team. This is a hands-on role for machinists who take real ownership of their work - setting up, running, and troubleshooting parts independently, not just executing a pre-set program.
The company is actively expanding its 5-axis capability, so there's real room to grow alongside the equipment and the team.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC mills (Okuma, Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls)
- Read and interpret blueprints, and perform in-process measurement and inspection
- Troubleshoot tooling issues, understand tool wear, and make setup adjustments independently
- Edit and adjust CNC programs at the machine level
- Collaborate directly with programmers and engineering to resolve part or process issues
- Mentor and support junior machinists on the team as needed
What You'll Need

Solid hands-on 5-axis CNC milling experience — Okuma experience strongly preferred

On at least 3-axis milling experience, but they pay is 30-35/hour for 3-axis.

Comfortable with Fanuc controls (Mitsubishi experience is a plus)

Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills

A genuine problem-solver — someone who understandswhya part isn't holding tolerance, not just how to push start
