Job Description
The Shop Mechanic will service and maintain agricultural machinery in a shop-based role reporting to the Shop Supervisor. This position offers a balanced mix of equipment diagnostics, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, hydraulic repairs, and electrical troubleshooting. Electrician and welding experience are required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair agricultural machinery and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and replace worn or damaged parts.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
- Complete electrical troubleshooting and electrician-related work.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate repair records.
- Manage shop tools and support safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Technical certificate in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, or a related field.
- Electrician experience.
- Welding experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
