Med Surg RN – 8-Week Travel/Local Contract
KPG Healthcare is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for a full-time 8-week assignment in Sylmar, CA. Both Med Surg and Med Surg/Telemetry positions are available, with day and night shift options. Travelers can earn $2,400 weekly based on 36 hours, while local RNs can earn $2,116 weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Assess patients and monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Provide patient education and support throughout the plan of care
- Follow hospital policies and maintain patient safety standards
Requirements:
- Active CA RN license
- Recent/current Med Surg experience of at least 1 year
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Telemetry experience required for Med Surg/Telemetry openings
- Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- Associate's degree or higher
