Job Summary:
The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating field personnel, vehicles, and equipment to ensure efficient daily operations. This role serves as the central point of communication between field crews, project managers, and internal teams, ensuring jobs are scheduled, staffed, and executed safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch technicians, trucks, and specialized equipment based on project needs, priorities, and availability
- Coordinate daily field operations, including routing & job assignments
- Communicate with project managers to provide job details, updates, and changes in scope or schedule for the technicians in the field
- Monitor job progress and adjust schedules in real time to address delays, emergencies, or conflicts
- Track and manage equipment usage, availability, and maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, job status, and crew assignments (e.g., in systems like Salesforce or dispatch software)
- Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and accounting to align field activities with project timelines and billing requirements
- Support after-hours or emergency dispatching as needed

Education/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics
- Experience working with field service teams
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Ability to read maps, plans, and job scopes -Knowledge of trucks, equipment, and field operations is a strong plus
