Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Lot Porter to help keep a residential property clean, safe, and well-maintained. This is a hands-on position that involves outdoor cleaning, picking up debris, maintaining common areas, and assisting with general property upkeep.
The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable performing physical work, and takes pride in keeping their work environment clean and orderly.
Responsibilities
- Pick up trash, litter, leaves, and debris throughout the property.
- Keep parking lots, sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and common areas clean.
- Empty and maintain outdoor trash receptacles.
- Sweep and clean exterior areas as needed.
- Help maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.
- Report safety hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to management.
- Assist maintenance staff with general property upkeep.
- Move supplies, furniture, trash, and other materials as needed.
- Use basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and property guidelines.
- Interact professionally and respectfully with residents, staff, vendors, and visitors.
- Perform other general duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, groundskeeping, property maintenance, warehouse, or other physically active work is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Able to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
- Professional and respectful when interacting with residents and staff.
