Johnson Service Group is looking to hire a talented and driven RF test technician to join our Advanced Products Group department. In this role you will work in a cleanroom environment testing, evolving product line. You will be responsible for performing electrical testing of electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and finished products. The technician will execute test procedures, collect and document test data, troubleshoot failures, and assist engineering personnel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform electrical testing of Oscillators using approved test procedures
- Record, analyze, and document test results in accordance with test procedures
- Update and improve existing Test Standard Procedures and Forms related to test methodologies
- Operate RF and laboratory test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Phase Noise Analyzers, Frequency Counters, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Vacuum and Non-Vacuum Test Chambers
- Work with shop coordinator to maintain accurate status of orders on production floor
- Configure test setups and verify equipment calibration status
- Verify product configurations against engineering drawings, schematics, bills of material, and work instructions
- Identify test failures and support troubleshooting efforts to determine root cause
- Support manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams during investigations and corrective actions
- Follow ESD, quality, and manufacturing standard procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory and work area
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
- Basic electrical circuitry knowledge of RF, electronic circuit theory, and electrical measurements
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow requirements
- Social proficiency in dealing with sales department and program management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Understanding of RF concepts including frequency, gain, attenuation, impedance matching, return loss, VSWR, and power measurements
- Academic, Internship, or senior project involving RF circuits and hands-on laboratory experience related to RF
- Exposure to RF measurement equipment and testing methodologies
- Ability to work effectively in production and engineering environments
- Strong team work and collaboration skills
