We are a patient-focused medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team. Flexible schedule between our Oceanside & Encinitas locations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and supplies.
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and assist with patient inquiries.
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refills.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent), but experience may be considered.
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
