Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinates care with other disciplines; utilizes critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Monitors patient status, administers medications as ordered, and documents responses to treatment.
- Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and communicates patient needs to the care team.
