Job Summary
A Design Quality Engineer opportunity is available in San Clemente, CA, supporting medical device product development, design quality activities, and Design History File remediation. This temp-to-hire role is ideal for an early-career engineering professional who wants to build hands-on experience in a regulated medical device environment.
This position offers exposure to cross-functional engineering, quality, regulatory, and product teams while supporting important quality system and compliance activities. Candidates can expect a professional office environment, collaborative teamwork, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to product quality and patient safety within a stable and highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support quality engineering activities for medical device consumable development and Design History File remediation.
- Utilize quality tools and processes, including risk analysis, validation, design verification, CAPA data, investigations, and product/process controls.
- Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, risk assessments, design transfers, and cross-functional project meetings.
- Help ensure design changes meet quality requirements and comply with applicable regulations and standards.
- Support investigations, CAPA activities, on-market product quality issues, audits, inspections, and special projects as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $32 to $36 per hour.
- Employment type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: San Clemente, CA.
- Work environment: Professional office setting, largely sedentary role.
- Travel: Typically less than 5%.
