An advanced biomaterial and composite solutions provider in El Segundo, CA is growing its laboratory team and hiring across several technician tracks and experience levels. Whether your background is in materials formulation, organic synthesis, or general lab operations, there is likely a track suited to your experience — with a clear growth path. These are first-shift, contract-to-hire opportunities with significant room to grow.

Formulation Technician I & II: Compound and formulate advanced aerospace materials from bench through pilot and scale-up quantities. Level II candidates should have hands-on formulation/compounding experience beyond small bench-scale work. Level I is open to candidates earlier in their career with some hands-on formulation or compounding exposure.

Chemistry Technician I – Organic Synthesis: Support organic chemistry synthesis — reactions, workup, and purification — at pilot and scale-up quantities. Requires hands-on synthesis experience beyond small bench-scale work, plus experience with fume hoods and chemical safety procedures.

Chemistry/General Technician: Support day-to-day lab operations, including equipment setup and maintenance, glassware handling and cleaning, and chemical reactor upkeep.

What You'll Do

• Handle chemicals and operate lab, synthesis, or compounding equipment per SOPs and safety protocols
• Work in and around fume hoods, following chemical safety procedures
• Clean and prepare glassware and equipment between uses
• Maintain accurate lab records and batch or process documentation
• Support scale-up work from bench to pilot quantities
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and audit-ready

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on lab experience beyond small bench-scale or classroom work — the specific type (formulation/compounding, organic synthesis, or general lab support) depends on the track
• Comfort working around chemicals, fume hoods, and lab safety procedures
• Experience with glassware handling/cleaning and equipment setup/breakdown
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping habits
• A degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field is a plus but not required for candidates with strong hands-on experience
