Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Pharmacist is needed to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a 50-bed rehabilitation hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a hospital setting, taking on full responsibility as the working PIC. The position is based in Davis, California, and requires immediate availability.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies.
- Dispense and review medications accurately for hospital patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care.
- Manage on-call duties shared with PRN pharmacists after regular hours.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to pharmacy activities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California Pharmacist license.
- Previous experience in a hospital or rehabilitation facility preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and willingness to serve as PIC.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday day shifts with after-hours on-call rotation.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, daytime hours.
- After-hours on-call rotation shared with PRN pharmacists.
This contract opportunity is for 13 weeks with the possibility to transition to a permanent role. Immediate availability is essential to support the pharmacy team.
