Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An immediate opening is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a health center pharmacy, providing essential leadership during the transition period until a permanent placement is secured. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations in a community-centered environment, ensuring smooth functioning and compliance with regulatory standards.

Location: Palo Cedro, CA
Job Type: Contract (4-6 weeks or until permanent placement)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Interim Pharmacist in Charge, managing day-to-day pharmacy operations
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers at the center to coordinate patient care
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and center policies
  • Utilize the New Leaf pharmacy system, with training provided if needed

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Recent retail pharmacy experience, particularly in supervisory roles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a pharmacy team
  • Familiarity with community health center pharmacy environments is a plus
  • Adaptability to quickly learn and operate the New Leaf pharmacy management system
