LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
SCHEDULE: Onsite 1-2 days per week
DURATION: 1-Year Contract
PAY RATE: $49-54/hr.
Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will contribute to the full engineering design lifecycle by preparing high-quality technical drawings, schematics, and design documentation that meet engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Key responsibilities include:
\n · Developing and reviewing technical drawings and design deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
\n · Developing and managing 3D piping models using Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D.
\n · Generating intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
\n · Producing accurate orthographic and isometric drawings.
\n · Supporting the design and documentation of high-pressure pipelines.
\n · Interpreting engineering concepts and requirements and translating them into clear, precise technical drawings.
\n · Maintaining project databases and design documentation in accordance with applicable industry standards.
\n · Collaborating with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables.
\n · Adapting to changing project requirements and supporting multiple disciplines as needed.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
\n · Lead the development and review of 3D models, piping layouts, and orthographic drawings.
\n · Ensure engineering drawings and design deliverables comply with company standards and applicable industry codes.
\n · Develop and manage detailed 3D piping models using Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D.
\n · Create and maintain intelligent P&IDs.
\n · Generate detailed piping orthographic and isometric drawings.
\n · Support the design and documentation of high-pressure pipeline systems.
\n · Interpret engineering concepts, specifications, and requirements and convert them into accurate and detailed drawings.
\n · Review technical drawings and design documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
\n · Maintain project databases and associated engineering design information.
\n · Support the full design lifecycle, from initial design development through revisions and final documentation.
\n · Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve design issues and coordinate project deliverables.
\n · Apply strong drafting and technical documentation practices across assigned projects.
\n · Adapt to different project requirements and apply a broad range of drafting and design expertise.
\n · Participate in continuous learning and development of technical drafting and design skills.
Knowledge & Skills:
\n · Strong technical drafting skills.
\n · Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D.
\n · Strong experience developing and managing 3D piping models.
\n · Experience creating intelligent P&IDs.
\n · Ability to produce accurate orthographic and isometric drawings.
\n · Ability to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into clear, precise technical drawings.
\n · Knowledge of piping layouts and engineering design practices.
\n · Experience supporting the design and documentation of high-pressure pipelines.
\n · Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
\n · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n · Ability to review drawings and identify design discrepancies.
\n · Ability to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines.

Education & Experience:
\n · 2-10 years of relevant engineering drafting/design experience.
\n · High School Diploma required.
\n · Bachelor's Degree preferred.
\n · Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D required.
\n · Experience developing and managing 3D piping models.
\n · Experience generating intelligent P&IDs.
\n · Experience producing orthographic and isometric drawings.
\n · Experience supporting the design and documentation of high-pressure pipeline systems.
\n · Experience working with engineering teams and supporting the full design lifecycle.
\n · Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines is preferred.
