HR Administrator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Administrator to join our Human Resources team. This position supports employees and management across a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits, recruiting, performance management, HRIS administration, timekeeping, and compliance.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, approachable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent service. Located in Buena Park, Temp to hire, Offering $25-27/hr.
Job Duties
- Conduct new hire orientations and support the onboarding process.
- Manage HR administrative processes, including benefits enrollment, new-hire documentation, HRIS updates, and employee records.
- Support recruiting efforts, including job fairs, career events, and other recruiting activities.
- Administer the performance management process for hourly employees.
- Partner with managers on employee relations, corrective actions, performance concerns, transfers, and terminations.
- Review timecards and support compliance with meal and rest break requirements.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and help resolve workplace concerns fairly and objectively.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and company programs.
- Prepare and distribute HR reports related to attendance, performance reviews, staffing, and other workforce metrics.
- Conduct benefits orientations and assist employees with basic benefits questions.
- Visit warehouse and department locations to support HR programs, employee communications, safety initiatives, and compliance.
- Support HR projects, LEAN initiatives, training, and other company programs.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws.
- Promote a workplace culture built on honesty, respect, integrity, and open communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of HR experience required.
- HR experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or operational environment strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Humanities, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written skills required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Docs.
- Experience using HRIS or other HR software.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees and management.
- Strong judgment, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
