Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Endodontic Associates of Palo Alto is looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our specialized team in the heart of the Bay Area. Responsibilities:
- Assist endodontists during root canal treatments, apicoectomies, and other endodontic procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, operatories, and treatment trays in accordance with infection control protocols
- Take and process digital X-rays and CBCT scans as directed by the provider
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment, explaining procedures to help reduce anxiety
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- Coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling
Requirements:
- Dental Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training required
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California preferred
- Radiation Safety certification (X-ray license) required
- Prior experience in endodontics or a specialty dental practice is a plus
- Proficiency with digital radiography and dental practice management software
- Strong chairside manner with the ability to comfort anxious patients
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
