Job description:

Medical Assistant – Concierge Medical Practice

Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptionally dependable, compassionate, experienced, and highly organized Medical Assistant to join our private concierge medical practice.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, values meaningful patient relationships, and wants to become an essential part of a small, personalized medical team.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is extraordinarily reliable, consistently punctual, and genuinely committed to providing exceptional patient care.

In a concierge medical practice, patients receive a higher level of personalized attention, communication, and continuity of care. Our patients trust us to be available, attentive, and responsive to their needs, and we expect every member of our team to uphold that standard.

Unlike a traditional high-volume medical office, our practice typically sees approximately 5–6 patients per day, allowing for a more personal and relationship-centered approach to medicine. Some days involve in-office appointments, while others may include accompanying the physician on patient home visits.

The ideal candidate will serve as the physician's trusted right-hand person, confidently managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities while helping ensure the practice operates smoothly.

What Matters Most to Us

Exceptional Reliability & Punctuality

Dependability is one of the most important qualities we are looking for. We need someone who consistently arrives on time, maintains reliable attendance, honors their commitments, and understands how important their presence is to the physician, patients, and daily operations of a small practice.

Genuine Compassion & Patient Care

Our patients deserve someone who is warm, patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in their well-being. We are looking for someone who enjoys getting to know patients, building lasting relationships, and making every patient feel valued and cared for.

Initiative & Personal Accountability

We value someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, anticipates what needs to be done, follows through without constant reminders, and takes pride in keeping the practice running efficiently.

Professionalism & Excellent Communication

A friendly demeanor, exceptional phone etiquette, discretion, and the ability to communicate confidently and respectfully with patients are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs
  • Assist with injections and other appropriate clinical procedures
  • Prepare patients and examination rooms for appointments
  • Assist the physician during patient visits and procedures
  • Accompany the physician on patient home visits as needed
  • Recognize urgent situations and follow established medical office protocols
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas
  • Follow appropriate infection-control and patient-safety procedures

Administrative & Patient Coordination

  • Serve as the physician's primary clinical and administrative support
  • Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-up communication
  • Answer incoming calls with exceptional professionalism and warmth
  • Coordinate patient intake and onboarding
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the EHR
  • Assist with insurance-related administrative tasks
  • Coordinate referrals, medical records, prescriptions, and laboratory orders as directed
  • Assist with patient contracts, renewals, and correspondence
  • Support daily office operations and administrative workflow
  • Ensure patient and physician requests receive timely, accurate follow-through
  • Perform light office cleaning and organizational tasks as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
  • Medical Assistant training or certification
  • Ability to obtain vital signs and assist with injections
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Strong clinical and administrative organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and professional telephone etiquette
  • Consistent punctuality, reliable attendance, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and anticipate the physician's needs
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Professionalism, discretion, and respect for patient confidentiality
  • Flexibility to assist with occasional patient home visits

Preferred:

  • Experience in concierge medicine, private practice, or primary care
  • Experience working with older adult patients
  • Strong background in both front-office and back-office medical responsibilities

Phlebotomy is NOT required for this position.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Compensation: $24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Schedule: Flexible based on physician and patient needs
  • Typical hours: Approximately 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional variations
  • Training: Approximately two weeks of initial training
  • Practice environment: Small, personalized concierge medical practice with a manageable patient volume

Who Will Thrive in This Position?

This position is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant who is looking for more than just another job.

We want someone who genuinely cares about their patients, takes pride in being someone others can count on, and understands the importance of consistency in a small medical practice.

We are not simply looking to fill a position. We are looking for a dedicated, long-term team member who will become an invaluable part of our practice.

If you are exceptionally dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to providing the highest standard of personalized patient care, we encourage you to apply.

Application Question(s):

  • Are you comfortable regularly accompanying the physician on patient home visits?
