Job DescriptionJob Title: EPC Design Engineer
Type: Fulltime
Location: Torrance, CA
Responsibilities
- High voltage power supply circuit design.
- Testing and troubleshooting of circuits / power supplies.
- Guide program management for technical issues and assure successful production.
- Supporting customer meetings, milestones (CDR, PDR, MRR ...), guiding the team through those events.
- Mentor, develop and train junior engineers.
- Actively seek out innovative technologies and oversee new product development to ensure continued industry leadership.
- Support new business activity through proposal review and improvements on current designs
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in a related field, EE preferred, with post graduate work a plus.
- Work experience designing and/or testing electronic power conditioners or similar devices, with work in the space industry a massive plus. Minimal experience for various levels is defined below:
- Level II: requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Level III: requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Level IV: requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Understanding and comfort with EE design aspects such circuit design, electric stress analysis, worst case analysis, single event upset and others.
- Proficient with circuit design tools (Spice, Altium, and similar).
- Capable of reading top-level specifications and translating into electrical design needs.
- Experience supporting testing of electrical hardware preferred.
- Hands-on engineering experience with PPUs or other high voltage products preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing industry-standard root cause corrective action (RCCA) methodologies.
- Must possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
