Pay: $57–$75/hour, based on experience
Platinum Therapy is seeking a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to support a student at a school in Newark, CA.
This is a 20-hour-per-week assignment, and remote/virtual candidates may be considered, making this an excellent opportunity for qualified DHH educators.

Responsibilities
-
Provide DHH services and educational support to the assigned student

Address the student's communication, educational, and access needs
-
Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and the educational team
-
Support classroom access through accommodations, consultation, and appropriate strategies
-
Assist with communication access and implementation of DHH-specific services
-
Participate in IEP-related activities and collaborate with the IEP team
-
Maintain accurate documentation and service records
-
Provide guidance and strategies to support the student's educational success
Qualifications
-
Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with DHH authorization or another appropriate California credential/permit
-
Bachelor's degree or higher
-
DHH teaching experience preferred
-
Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, communication access, and school-based special education
-
Experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

ASL proficiency is a plus
-
Ability to provide services effectively in a remote/virtual setting, if applicable
