Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician
Location: Oceanside, CA
Pay: $22/hr on W2
Shift: 10-hour shifts; Day, Mid, or Swing — open availability preferred
Duration: 1 year, contract with possible conversion
Education: HS Diploma/GED required; Life Sciences/Engineering degree or Biotech certificate preferred
Job Summary:
Seeking a Bioprocess Manufacturing Technician to support medicine production in a controlled cGMP environment. The technician will follow SOPs and manufacturing recipes while operating, cleaning, and sterilizing production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate automated manufacturing and production equipment.
- Perform raw material weighing, dispensing, and solution preparation.
- Support cell culture, upstream and downstream processing.
- Operate bioreactors, centrifuges, filtration, and chromatography systems.
- Clean, assemble, and sterilize equipment using autoclaves and glass washers.
- Perform aseptic techniques and environmental monitoring.
- Complete accurate GMP documentation and manufacturing records.
- Identify and escalate deviations or safety/quality issues.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and SOP requirements.
Requirements:
- cGMP/GMP manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, biopharma, or life sciences manufacturing preferred.
- Comfortable working in cleanroom/gowning environments.
- Computer literate; Microsoft/Google platforms.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available for all shifts and overtime as needed.
- Must pass required GMP/quality training and certifications.
