Role Description The Paralegal at Tanner Law Firm will focus on family law matters and provide direct support to attorneys through case management, legal document preparation, and coordination of day-to-day file activities. Responsibilities include drafting and formatting pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents; organizing case files; and maintaining accurate records and calendars. The role involves conducting legal and factual research, summarizing findings, and reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy. The Paralegal will communicate with clients, courts, and external parties to gather information, schedule meetings, and ensure timely follow-up. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Palm Desert, CA.

- Strong foundation in Law with the ability to understand legal procedures and support attorney casework.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing legal forms and filings.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, courts, and external partners.
- Effective Research abilities to gather legal and factual information, analyze sources, and prepare summaries.
- Attention to detail in Document Review to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court and firm standards.
- Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience in a law firm or similar legal setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters and deadlines.
- Proficiency with common legal software, case management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Paralegal certificate or relevant education in legal studies preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
