What You'll Do
As a Day Caregiver, you’ll play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in need. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as hygiene, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
- Encouraging positive relationships and fostering a sense of community among clients.
- Ensuring client safety and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Helping with toileting needs, including the use of bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs.
- Supporting clients in self-help activities to promote independence.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients’ conditions or family situations.
- Documenting the services you provide for accurate record-keeping.
- Managing home-related tasks like housekeeping, laundry, bed-making, and cleaning.
- Preparing and serving meals, assisting with feeding, and handling clean-up.
- Accompanying clients to scheduled appointments.
- Performing other duties as assigned to ensure the highest quality of care.
What We're Looking For
We welcome individuals with all levels of experience—no prior experience is required! To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A valid driver’s license or identification card.
- The ability to complete and pass a Life Scan.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for extended periods.
