This position is based on-site with potential flexibility for a virtual/online (VOCO) model, creating an adaptive work environment that fosters both student engagement and professional balance.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Credential
- Experience working with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated lesson plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort working both independently and as part of an educational team
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to a diverse group of students with mild/moderate needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Maintain detailed and accurate student records and progress reports
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet individual student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
