Role Description
\n
The Finish Carpenter/Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego County, CA. This position is responsible for detailed finish carpentry work, including installing trim, doors, moldings, cabinetry, and other interior and exterior finish components. Responsibilities may also include building and installing basic-style cabinets and working with plastic laminate (PLam) materials.

Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting plans, measuring and cutting materials, using hand and power tools, and ensuring all installations meet quality and safety standards. The Finish Carpenter/Installer will collaborate with project managers and other trades on scheduling, site coordination, and problem-solving. This position also requires flexibility and a willingness to assist the team with other general construction tasks and project needs as assigned.

This role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols, and completing work efficiently to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

- Strong carpentry skills, including framing and finish carpentry.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in construction and installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measurements accurately.
- Experience installing doors, trim, cabinetry, and other finish materials.
- Ability to build and install basic-style cabinets.
- Experience working with plastic laminate (PLam) is a plus.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Willingness to assist with other construction tasks as needed to support the team and keep projects on schedule.
- Commitment to jobsite safety and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout San Diego County, CA.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and to stand, bend, and work on ladders as required.
- Previous experience as a finish carpenter or installer; apprenticeship or vocational training is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
