Our organization is expanding and is thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Veterinary Assistant to become part of our dedicated team! The nursing staff plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding patient care and ensuring comprehensive client education.
In this position, you will alternate between managing technician appointments independently and collaborating with our veterinarians during examinations and procedures. Your responsibilities will include assisting with exams and treatments, preparing for procedures, and coordinating with your colleagues to fulfill the veterinarian's directives. This role is perfect for individuals with solid foundational nursing skills who thrive in client interaction and teamwork.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time role typically consisting of five 8-hour shifts from Sunday to Thursday. A four-day workweek may be an option, provided you are available on Sundays.
Compensation and Benefits for Full-Time Employees
- Hourly Rate: $21-23 for each hour worked*
- Bonus Opportunity: $500 for candidates with over 3 years of continuous, relevant veterinary assistant experience

Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical environment
- Competence in the following areas:
- Taking vital signs and maintaining medical records
- Performing venipuncture and administering injections
- Radiography techniques and positioning
- Processing in-house laboratory tests
- Familiarity with practice management software and Fear Free Certification is advantageous!
