Shipping/Receiving & Local Driver
Pay: $20.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Shipping/Receiving & Local Driver to join a growing machine manufacturing company in Huntington Beach. This position combines warehouse responsibilities with local deliveries and pickups. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
What You'll Do

Receive incoming materials, products, and supplies.

Verify quantities and items against packing slips and shipping documents.

Inspect shipments for visible damage and report discrepancies.

Prepare, package, label, and stage outgoing orders for shipment.

Load and unload trucks using a forklift and pallet jack.

Prepare shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and shipping labels.

Maintain accurate inventory and shipping/receiving records.

Perform local deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle.

Safely secure and transport materials and products during deliveries.

Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers during pickups and deliveries.

Keep the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas clean, organized, and safe.

Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.

Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
-
2+ years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.

Previous forklift experience required; forklift certification is a plus.

Valid California Driver's License required.

Clean driving record/DMV record required.

Comfortable driving a company vehicle for local deliveries and pickups.

Basic computer skills and ability to use shipping, inventory, or warehouse systems.

Ability to read and understand packing slips, shipping documents, and labels.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility for extended periods.

Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Comfortable working in a machine shop/manufacturing environment.
