Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures according to protocols, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Prepare patients for CT exams, verify orders, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.
- Operate CT equipment, adjust technical factors, and monitor image quality throughout the exam.
- Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Position patients correctly, manage contrast administration as required, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other health care professionals to interpret results and ensure accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist licensure/credentialing as required by California.
- Demonstrated competency in computed tomography imaging and radiation safety practices.
- Ability to work evening shifts and commit to a 26-week travel assignment, averaging 40 hours per week (4x10-hour shifts).
- Strong patient communication and team collaboration skills.
- Comfort working in a hospital radiology department and handling equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for a 26-week assignment and comply with site-specific policies and procedures.
