AC Trucking is seeking a motivated and reliable Transportation Administrative Assistant / Assistant Dispatcher to support our Dispatch Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the success of daily trucking operations.
Responsibilities
• Data entry and maintaining accurate records
• Answering and managing high-volume phone calls
• Supporting dispatch and transportation operations
• Assisting customers and responding to inquiries
• Communicating effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and customers
• Learning and utilizing our Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Performing general administrative office duties
• Working collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
• Be a self-starter who can work independently
• Be able to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs
• Thrive in a team-oriented environment
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and professionalism
• Maintain a positive attitude under pressure
• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
• Be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Transportation or dispatch experience is not required, but it is a plus and will be viewed favorably.
Compensation & Benefits
• Starting Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
