Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care | Lodi, CA | Travel - temporary assignment
Start date: 09/25/2026 | Contract duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed hours: 36 per week | Shift: 5x8 days (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) | Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings; track patient outcomes
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Educate and direct support staff; supervise therapy assistants in accordance with national and state Practice Acts
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient goals and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with state and federal licensure, certification, and accrediting requirements

Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or foreign equivalent (Required)
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of practice (Required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor (Required)
- Two years of recent speech-language pathology experience (Preferred)
- Ability to work in an acute care hospital setting and participate in interdisciplinary teams
