Qualifications & Experience:
- A valid and active California Special Education Teaching Credential in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs is required
- Proven dedication to meeting the needs of students with various disabilities
- Ability to work closely with staff, families, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in school-based roles preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff in a team-oriented setting
- Assess student progress and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state and federal requirements
- Facilitate IEP meetings in partnership with parents and school professionals
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional techniques for diverse learners
