We are seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time Moderate/Severe elementary position in Santa Rosa, CA for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is ideal for an educator experienced in supporting students with extensive support needs in a combination-grade classroom setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities in a combination-grade classroom.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, including goal writing, progress monitoring, and documentation.
- Differentiate instruction across multiple grade levels and skill levels within the same classroom.
- Design and adapt instruction in communication, functional, academic, social, and adaptive skills.
- Implement behavior support plans and positive behavioral strategies.
- Direct and collaborate with paraprofessionals and classroom support staff.
- Collaborate with families, general education teachers, related-service providers, and school teams.
Requirements
- Active California CTC Education Specialist credential authorizing Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN). Required.
- Previous experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities, preferably at the elementary level.
- Experience managing multi-grade instruction and working with classroom support staff preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work full-time for the 2026–27 school year.
Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
