Embark on an exciting contract opportunity serving students in a dynamic school environment near Redwood City, CA! This onsite position spans from August 13th through June 11th, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high-quality support to students, collaborating with educational staff to help every learner reach their full communication potential.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license
- Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential authorizing Language, Speech, & Hearing services OR a California credential authorizing services as a Language/Speech and Hearing Specialist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team consultations
- Provide support and training to classroom staff regarding communication strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school policies
