Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Supervisor at Studebaker Healthcare Center in Norwalk, California. As a RN you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring that our residents receive high-quality, individualized care. This is a part-time and full-time position that requires a strong clinical background, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities:

Supervise and administer direct nursing care when required, ensuring that residents' needs are met and their rights are respected

Evaluate and assess resident care needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to achieve optimal outcomes

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to residents, including wound care, enteral feeding, and tracheostomy management

Provide education and support to resident families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident care and progress

Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies

Supervise and mentor less experienced nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent care delivery

Communicate effectively with all team members, residents, and families, using clear and respectful language
Requirements:

Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the State of California

Current BCLS certification

Must have at least six months prior RN experience in a general acute care hospital setting or acquired equivalent competency

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to perform upper-level mathematical operations

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members
