Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Supervisor at Studebaker Healthcare Center in Norwalk, California. As a RN you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring that our residents receive high-quality, individualized care. This is a part-time and full-time position that requires a strong clinical background, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and administer direct nursing care when required, ensuring that residents' needs are met and their rights are respected

  • Evaluate and assess resident care needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions to achieve optimal outcomes

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to residents, including wound care, enteral feeding, and tracheostomy management

  • Provide education and support to resident families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident care and progress

  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies

  • Supervise and mentor less experienced nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent care delivery

  • Communicate effectively with all team members, residents, and families, using clear and respectful language

Requirements:

  • Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the State of California

  • Current BCLS certification

  • Must have at least six months prior RN experience in a general acute care hospital setting or acquired equivalent competency

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to perform upper-level mathematical operations

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members
