Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services to students aged 3-22 with a wide range of needs. Two full-time roles are available—one for the full school year, and another for maternity leave coverage projected from August to March. These positions support diverse K-12 caseloads, including students with mild to severe disabilities.
Ideal candidates will hold an active California OT license and bring experience in school-based settings. Strong independence is essential, as you’ll craft your own schedule and work autonomously in the field, efficiently adapting to fluctuating caseloads. Your expertise in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments, coupled with the ability to analyze and communicate data to address parent concerns and shape service recommendations, will have a direct impact on student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California required
- Direct experience within California schools required
- Proficient in administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students ages 3-22
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads independently and handle shifting demands
- Strong data analysis skills for service recommendation and parent communication
- Spanish bilingual skills preferred, but not required
- Must be comfortable with itinerant assignments and self-directed scheduling
- Experience with mild to severe student needs in K-12
- Not accepting OTAs for these roles
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate, plan, and deliver occupational therapy services for a diverse caseload
- Perform necessary assessments and consultations across multiple school sites
- Communicate results and recommendations clearly to families and educational teams
- Adapt service delivery as caseload fluctuates and new needs arise
- Work independently, coordinating directly with district point-persons
