Job Description

Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services to students aged 3-22 with a wide range of needs. Two full-time roles are available—one for the full school year, and another for maternity leave coverage projected from August to March. These positions support diverse K-12 caseloads, including students with mild to severe disabilities.

Ideal candidates will hold an active California OT license and bring experience in school-based settings. Strong independence is essential, as you’ll craft your own schedule and work autonomously in the field, efficiently adapting to fluctuating caseloads. Your expertise in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments, coupled with the ability to analyze and communicate data to address parent concerns and shape service recommendations, will have a direct impact on student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California required
  • Direct experience within California schools required
  • Proficient in administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students ages 3-22
  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads independently and handle shifting demands
  • Strong data analysis skills for service recommendation and parent communication
  • Spanish bilingual skills preferred, but not required
  • Must be comfortable with itinerant assignments and self-directed scheduling
  • Experience with mild to severe student needs in K-12
  • Not accepting OTAs for these roles

What You’ll Do:

  • Evaluate, plan, and deliver occupational therapy services for a diverse caseload
  • Perform necessary assessments and consultations across multiple school sites
  • Communicate results and recommendations clearly to families and educational teams
  • Adapt service delivery as caseload fluctuates and new needs arise
  • Work independently, coordinating directly with district point-persons

If you’re a proactive, mission-driven OT ready to make a difference, apply today to embark on a dynamic, flexible assignment supporting students’ growth and learning!

Compensation for this position ranges from $43.86 to $63.86. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
