When your swing shift begins at 3:30 PM in Chatsworth, CA, you’ll open a new job traveler for a rapid prototype destined for aerospace. You’ll pull up the model, program toolpaths in Mastercam or CamWorks, and head to the floor to set zero on a 3–4 axis VMC—or step over to our Mitsubishi 5-axis when the geometry demands it. First-article in hand, you’ll verify dimensions with precision measuring instruments, log results, and adjust offsets to hit spec. Between runs, you’ll perform upkeep on the machines and keep a keen eye on quality and safety.

Role summary
We’re seeking a dependable, innovative CNC professional who works confidently and independently across software and hardware. You’ll conduct tests and inspections of products, services, and software systems; troubleshoot and repair faulty programs and machinery; and communicate effectively with teammates. Success in this role calls for strong computer skills, interpersonal communication, physical stamina, and a genuine interest in production and processing—supported by above-average aptitude in trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra.
What you’ll do
- Set up: Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to prepare machines for specific jobs.
- Program: Create and test CNC programs in Mastercam and/or CamWorks.
- Run: Operate mills, lathes, and grinders for cutting, turning, drilling, and finishing.
- Inspect: Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments and document results.
- Maintain: Perform routine maintenance to keep machines production-ready.
- Assure quality: Check parts against specifications and correct deviations.
- Work safely: Follow OSHA and shop safety standards at all times.
What you bring
- Solid math foundation: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, algebra; strength in trigonometry and statistics is a plus.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluency reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Aerospace experience and a track record of producing precision parts.
